Namibian media; focusing on lifestyle

20 Jun 2016 – With more than 1.5 million tourists visiting the country annually, Namibia is a popular travel destination in sub-Saharan Africa. Therefore, several publications are dedicated to promoting the unique architecture, lifestyle, and travel aspects of the country.

Newsclip Media Monitoring currently monitors 21 print publications in Namibia. While the majority (16) are national and community papers that cover current events, there are several that focus on travel, motoring, architecture and interior design.

They currently publish approximately 7500 copies bi-monthly and distribute them across the country. You're most likely to find a copy at your local hardware store, selected supermarkets, cool cafés and automotive shops.

Namibia Travel Companion: An annual comprehensive holiday guide that provides details for accommodation, activities, suggested routes, maps and places of interest. It also features the people and history of Namibia.

Travel News Namibia: This magazine focuses on providing visitors with up-to-date travel, wildlife, and conservation, as well as general travel FAQ and news. It also provides information about Namibia’s landscape, wildlife, activities, and conservation.
